How do I Benefit from joining the CDASA?

The CDASA produces a bi-monthly magazine called TUBE TALK and all members receive a copy. This magazine provides information about coming events, meeting dates and what is happening interstate too. Demonstration notes and recipes are included. Members are encouraged to submit articles and photos for the magazine.

 National Seminar:

An opportunity to attend the National Seminar, the National Seminar is a bi-annual Seminar held in a different state each time. At this Seminar members have the opportunity to learn from interstate and overseas demonstrators plus the option to participate in the National Competition. At the Seminar there is a wonderful array of sugar art from all over Australia including a display from each state.

 State Seminar:

South Australia holds a State Seminar every year. In the National Seminar Year the State Seminar is a one day event, in the alternate year it is held over 2 days. Demonstrations are provided by all our branches as well as guest demonstrators from interstate.

State Competition:

CDASA hosts a State Cake Decorating Competition each year. It is held in a regional shopping center. Cakes are on display for 4 days, with the presentation of prizes on the final day. Many members enter their competition cakes into the Royal Adelaide Show as well.

Workshops and Demonstrations:

In addition to the demonstrations at the regular monthly branch meetings there are workshops and demonstrations at various times throughout the year. CDASA's Sharing Sugarcraft days involve 4 short demonstrations and are held on a Saturday 3 or 4 times a year. Specialist workshops are held by the branches on an as needs basis.

 Problem Clinic:

Time is allocated at the regular branch meetings to discuss any sugar art problems and outside of meetings members ring and rely on each other for help. Meet fellow cake decorators at the meetings and open a new world of ideas and knowledge.myspace profile view counter
